I recently perused several beauty magazines and blogs and noticed a pattern. The latest trend in makeup are thick, dark eyebrows. Bold is in. Every woman wants to have eyebrows like Cara Delevingne or Lily Collins and why not, the thick eyebrows do make the person look a few years younger. However, this trend is a big draw back for those who have thin eyebrows due to over plucking or who naturally have thin and faint-colored brow hair. Many fashion gurus have come up with so many solutions for women with thin eyebrows that one can get overwhelmed.
Many prefer using either pencil or powder as they are easy for application. Both have their own pros and cons. Pencils tend have a waxy texture to it (for ones that last, try Sumita Products). Care should be taken to apply pencil in short and soft strokes else you might end up getting a severe and unnatural look to your brows. Pencil is also preferred by those with dry skin as well as those with overly plucked eyebrows. Pencils allow for a more defined look and makes the brow hair stay in its place for a much longer time. Also once applied, one need not bother much about a touch up. It is also easier to carry and cheaper compared to eyebrow powder.
I strongly recommend that you utilize a pencil due to the ease, cost and creativity one can experiment with. Happy Brow Pencil shopping!
